As temperatures rise the warning begin… “DON’T LEAVE KIDS OR PETS IN HOT CARS!” and rightfully so.
Every year everywhere there’s multiple incidents of children or pets dying in hot vehicles. But a company DogSpot, has a solution, “Pet Parking Pads”. These are temperature-controlled, ventilated kennels placed at store entrances, allowing dogs to rest safely while their owners shop.
DogSpot is based in Brooklyn, New York, the kennels are described as safe, hygienic, and stress-free for animals. Owners can lock and unlock them via an app or a code provided by the store.
In Germany, some supermarkets have begun to place “Pet Parking Pads” at their entrances to prevent dogs from being tied up outside in bad weather or left in hot cars.
The pads keep the climate comfortable year-round and have transparent walls so dogs can look outside — reducing their (and their owner’s) anxiety.
It would be great to see this catch on in the U.S.
