We are proud to name as this week’s Laura Lee and Cutter weenie of the week, the unnamed driver who clipped a highway worker and then gave the same worker the one fingered salute and drove away.
Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson took to social media to basically say “Hey knock it off” Earlier in the week a highway worker directing traffic was clipped by an irate driver. The worker was ignored and the car kept going even after he hit the highway worker with his side mirror. Instead of stopping or trying to make sure the worker was OK, the driver flipped off the worker and kept going. Another alert employee took a picture of the license plate and according to Nelson the offender will be dealt with to the full extent of the law. He even went on to say
“Look, it’s really hot out there. People are fried, short-tempered and cranky. I get it. But please — let’s not take it out on each other. Especially those just doing their job. We can do better.” The worker will be OK, but hopefully the driver will not
So for claiming the worker was number one and then speeding off, for doing something so stupid that Outagamie county executive Tom Nelson had to take time away from his busy parade schedule to post to social media about your atrocities, and for holding out slight hope that the driver is actually a Rick and Morty fan… “Peace Among Worlds.”
