Really this is a warning to everyone, not just British Columbia residents. If you lose your phone when you’re drunk, deal with it in the morning when you’re sober. If you drive drunk to the police station to report your phone is lost, they will be a little more preoccupied with the fact that you’re drunk driving. I lost my phone one night and asked an ex for a ride. Probably just as embarassing as the cops arresting you for drunk driving, but… cheaper.
