The hugely popular online video game Fortnite is known for its characters’ crazy dance moves. So was one of them ripped off from actor Alfonso Ribeiro? The former Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has filed suit, claiming the game’s “Fresh emote” move is a copy of his famous Carlton Dance.
Alfonso’s attorney tells TMZ, “Epic has earned record profits off of downloadable content in the game, including emotes like ‘Fresh.’ Yet Epic has failed to compensate or even ask permission from Mr. Ribeiro for the use of his likeness and iconic intellectual property.” Alfonso also says he’s trying to copyright the Carlton dance.
