If at first you don’t succeed… try, try again. And if that doesn’t work, get drunk and take a nap.
A burglar in Hoboken, New Jersey broke into a pizzeria through their roof. After failing to break into an ATM, he settled for two dozen bottles of Snapple.
Since the roll down gate blocked the burglar’s exit through the door, he instead snuck through a shared attic to the nail salon next door, where he stole some money.
But, he couldn’t get out of that door either, so he used the attic crawl space to break into the liquor store next door. After stealing some liquor, he broke a 6-foot hole into the dollar store next door… where he was still unable to escape.
Apparently giving up at that point, the burglar drank his stolen liquor and fell asleep on a shelf. The dollar store owner found him at 10am and called police.
The burglar has been arrested and charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of theft, four counts of criminal mischief, burglary tools and hindering apprehension.
