Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorethea are using their JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, New Jersey to help federal workers affected by the partial government shutdown.
The restaurant offered up a free lunch for those affected today (Monday) as “a way to create a place of support and resources for furloughed federal workers, many of whom are our friends and neighbors.”
The JBJ Soul Kitchen is a nonprofit restaurant staffed by volunteers who work to earn meals there. In line with their mission, they’ve invited federal workers to join “for a delicious meal and to learn about additional support and resources available in our community.”
