The Academy Awards have announced their nominees, and the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody picked up five nominations.
The film is nominated for Best Picture and Best Actor for Rami Malek’s portrayal of singer Freddie Mercury, a well as awards for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing, and Best Sound Mixing.
Brian May of Queen wrote on Facebook, “Huge congratulations to Bohemian Rhapsody for [all the] nominations. Well done to everyone concerned. Well deserved. Fantastic!”
We’ll find out if the film wins any of their categories when the Oscars air on February 24th.
