Terry Robison of Texas has an interesting retirement plan.
According to Terry’s research, the average cost for nursing home care is around $188 per day. However, if Terry he used his senior discount for a long-term stay at Holiday Inn, he’d only have to pay $59.23 per day.
“That leaves $128.77 a day for lunch and dinner in any restaurant we want, or room service, laundry, gratuities and special TV movies. Plus, they provide a spa, swimming pool, a workout room, a lounge and washer-dryer, etc. Most have free toothpaste and razors, and all have free shampoo and soap.”
In his Facebook post, Terry also is excited by the prospect that he and his wife could stay at any Holiday Inn around the world.
“And no worries about visits from family. They will always be glad to find you, and probably check in for a few days mini-vacation. The grand-kids can use the pool.”
So to hell with nursing homes. Terry is just going to make his final vacation last forever.
