An Iowa man has lost his fight to trademark the term “Cubnoxious”. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board has blocked Ronald Mark Huber’s efforts to trademark the term so he could sell t-shirts emblazoned with the word. The Chicago Cubs fought Huber’s efforts, convincing the broad that the shirts “might confuse people into thinking the name was the team’s idea and that Cubs fans were ‘obnoxious.'” Be still my heart! Cub fan’s obnoxious? Never! However, allow me to make some alternative suggestions. How about
- Cub-horrent
- Cub-bominable
- Cub-pugnent
- Cub-trocious
- Cub-spicable
- Cub-temptible
- Cub-rehensible
