There are plenty of places you might expect to see an alligator in Florida. The Everglades. Golf courses. The zoo.
Not lounging on an alligator-shaped pool float at the Airbnb where your family is staying on vacation. Georgia resident Dave Jacobs and his family spotted a gator casually chilling on an alligator-shaped pool float at their Airbnb in South Miami.
“My daughter, who’s 14, was like, ‘Dad, this is soooo meta,'” Jacobs told New Times.
The family noticed the gator in the lake outside their rental property the day before. “We thought that was pretty cute,” Jacobs says. “Then, the next day, it just showed up in the pool.”
Eventually, someone from Florida wildlife management was able to fish the reptile out of the pool.
