Sega are getting in on the retro-console race following the success of Nintendo’s NES Classic and SNES Classic, and the less successful PlayStation Classic.
The Sega Genesis Mini will be available for $79.99 starting September 19, 2019 and is now available for pre-order through several vendors listed on the Sega website. It will include two wired control pads, power cable, USB cable, HDMI cable, and “40 legendary games” (though they just added two bonus games to that list.)
Here’s the list of Sega’s 42 games that will be pre-loaded on the console:
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Ecco the Dolphin
- Castlevania: Bloodlines
- Space Harrier 2
- Shining Force
- Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine
