A Green Bay business is helping a local animal shelter by taking in some cats.
The Fox Valley Humane Association is dealing with financial issues and overcrowding. It needs to raise $300,000 by the end of the month to help pay bills and prevent putting animals down.
Elizabeth Feldhausen from Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary in Green Bay says they took in 10 cats that are at a higher risk of being euthanized. She says they’re older or on special diets.
The Neenah Animal Shelter also took in four dogs to help free up space at the FVHA. One is already getting adopted and the nonprofit plans to take in more animals when there’s more room.
