Police are out in the Green Bay area to make sure drivers are stopping for people in crosswalks.
Green Bay Capt. Kevin Warych says they’ll have people watching throughout the school year. He says crossing guards and bus drivers can send officers information about bad drivers, and police can decide what to do.
Warych says they’re running what they call “Operation Frogger” in hopes of setting the tone for the rest of the school year.
When departments have partnered two times in the past, they’ve given drivers nearly 50 tickets and almost 200 warnings.
