Some people living with Parkinson’s Disease got a chance to try a new hobby in Appleton’s Memorial Park.
The Wisconsin Parkinson Association partnered with Trout Unlimited to run a fly-fishing clinic.
Linda Schlavensky says it can be hard to deal with the disease. She says there are good and bad days, and she’s learned to live with that. But she says activities like fishing help her relax and stay active. She says she also uses muscles while fishing that she wouldn’t normally use.
