There were a lot of big questions coming out of last night’s Packers-Bears game:
- When did Aaron shave his mustache?
- Now that the Bears have a kicker, should they work on getting some additional offense?
- What right does this boring slog have being the kickoff to the NFL’s 100th season?
But the most important question of the night… perhaps of the entire NFL season… is: Who said “I never had my butt fingered” during NBC’s game broadcast?
The moment came during a Bears punt with just over two minutes remaining in the first half. NBC’s Al Michaels seems to chuckle after the unexpected statement, but we can’t be sure if it was due to this particular instance of TMI.
Was this two players on the bench? Did a parabolic microphone pick up a strange conversation from two Bears fans in the crowd? Are we learning something far too personal about Cris Collinsworth? Some online sleuths think it came from the Packers sideline, but (butt?) we may never know for sure.
