People will be able to drive four-wheelers on certain roads in Winnebago County.
The county board is going to allow ATVs and UTVs on county highways and town roads that have less than 1,000 cars a day.
While the DNR lets people under 16 drive on trails, if they pass a safety class, Sheriff John Matz says in Winnebago County, they’ll need a drivers license. He says that would be in the best interest of all drivers in the county.
Drivers will also need to have insurance.
