The pictures of five long-retired Outagamie County judges are now on display at the courthouse.
Current Judge Vince Biskupic worked to add their photos, and short biographies, to the hallways on the second floor of the Justice Center. They’re joining the pictures of other former judges from over the years.
Ron McIntire of Appleton is the son-in-law of former Judge Stanley Staidl. He says the pictures are honoring judges that should’ve been honored for their service to the county and the state.
Meg Hoppe is the granddaughter of Judge Gus Keller, and she says for years, the family noticed his picture wasn’t included. She says she would ask attorneys she knew, and they didn’t have an answer.
The five judges served between the 1940s and 1970s.
The others are Judge Gerald Jolin, Raymond Dohr, and Oscar Schmiege.
