Home sales were down about two percent around the state last month.
Economist David Clark of the Wisconsin Realtors Association says the median price spiked by nine percent, to $206,000 compared to August of last year. He says the market hasn’t changed for months, with fewer homes on the market, and strong demand driving up prices.
Numbers weren’t as good in the northeast region. Sales dropped 14 percent. The median price jumped by 9-1/2 percent to $175,000.
