Waiting a decade for the expansion of I-41 between the Fox Cities and De Pere may seem like a long time to wait, but a Republican lawmaker says more goes into it than just pouring concrete.
Sen. Roger Roth of Appleton says the DOT needs to do an environmental study, design work, and then buy any necessary land.
The DOT plans to start construction on the expansion in 2025, and finish the project in 2029.
