Construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the Fox River linking Kaukauna and Little Chute will not get done this year.
Kaukauna Community Development Director Bob Jakel says they were ready to get going on the project this summer. But he says they realized they didn’t own the land where part of the bridge is going to be built.
Because the land is owned by a railroad company, they have to go through a transfer process that takes a view months.
The communities plan to build the new pedestrian bridge next year.
