The new Brown County STEM Innovation Center is now open.
The county, state, university and private sector partnered on the project on the UW-Green Bay campus.
County Executive Troy Streckenbach says they want to get children interested in a STEM related field at an earlier age. He also hopes they’ll stay in northeast Wisconsin beyond high school.
Streckenbach would like to see the center help create a pipeline for manufacturers looking for workers in northeast Wisconsin.
The building will also be home to UW-GB’s mechanical engineering program.
