Work is progressing on a large Aurora Health Care clinic on the site of the former dog track in Kaukauna.
Mayor Tony Penterman hopes it will spark more development on that property, along I-41. The site is now called Commerce Crossing.
Penterman got a chance to tour the clinic yesterday, and he thinks it looks great. He says he can’t wait for it to open in the summer of next year.
The city has been working to redevelop the former dog track for about a decade. Walmart scrapped plans last year for a supercenter.
The clinic is the largest project on the site, so far.
