An eight-year-old boy says he was chained to a basement chair and not fed and a Shawano County man is charged with his abuse.
Thirty-six year old Nathan Pogrant is in custody.
The boy was found walking along Highway 45 earlier this month.
He was wearing shoes that didn’t fit, was hungry and dirty.
The boy told deputies that Pogrant put him in a hooded sweatshirt described as a straight jacket with ties around his body.
The child had rope marks on his stomach and a large bruise on his left shoulder and elsewhere.
The child’s mother confirmed the child’s abuse and told deputies she didn’t know why she didn’t stop it.
