Gulfstream is laying off about nearly 450 workers across the country.
It’s not known how many people will be impacted in Greenville. The company opened a $40 million airplane maintenance facility at Appleton International Airport this summer.
A statement from Gulfstream says the cutbacks are in the business support and administrative areas. It says the company is growing in the manufacturing and maintenance areas.
The 450 jobs is less than four percent of Gulfstream’s overall workforce.
