The Fox West YMCA in Greenville will be able to take care of more kids during the day.
The organization is breaking ground on an expansion.
CEO Bill Brieder says they’ll have enough room for about 250 children. Right now, their capacity is around 100.
The YMCA is trying to raise $3.8 million for the project, and they’re at about $3.6 million now.
Breider says there’s a growing demand for child care in the Greenville area. He expects they’ll open the expansion around June 1st of next year.
