Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna is thinking about his future, now that he’s not running for re-election, after 24 years in office.
He says he’s looking at some opportunities, because he still has a passion for local governments, and the big issues they’re facing. Hanna wants to focus on them, without having the day-to-day stress of running a city.
He also plans to get involved in more initiatives, like Imagine Fox Cities.
But Hanna also stresses that he’s going to focus on finishing strong in his final six months in office.
Appleton voters will pick a new mayor next April. If there are more than two candidates, there will be a primary in February.
