Some local police and sheriff’s departments are hoping to win an online vote to help their K-9 units.
Menasha Lt. Matt Albrecht says a company called Aftermath will provide funding for the top vote-getters in different regions of the country. Aftermath works with departments to clean crime scenes, and offers annual grants.
Albrecht says Menasha would use the money for any unplanned medical bills, equipment upgrades, and food for their K-9 Cami.
