There are now more places at ThedaCare’s Regional Cancer Center in Appleton for patients to receive treatment.
Dr. Anthony Phillips is the oncology medical director, and he says they added nine more infusion chairs.
He says they renovated the nearly four-year-old center, in part because ThedaCare bought Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology almost two years ago. He says the number of patients more than doubled, and they also believe the aging population will increase the number of patients.
Phillips says the renovations will improve efficiency, as well.
ThedaCare is also expanding the infusion areas at the hospitals in Neenah and Berlin, and that work should be done by April of next year.
