An attorney for the man accused of killing two brothers from the Seymour area is asking more time to work on the case before a preliminary hearing.
Garland “Joey” Nelson appeared in court this morning by video in Missouri. He’ll be back in court on November 14th for that hearing.
Nelson is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and abandoning a corpse.
Nick and Justin Diemel went missing in July, after going to Nelson’s farm in Braymer, northeast of Kansas City.
The brothers owned Diemel’s Livestock, and they did business with Nelson.
Nelson is accused of burning their bodies, and hiding their remains.
