Developers hope a major project near Lambeau Field will create a “Main Street” feel along part of Mike McCarthy Way.
Ashwaubenon’s Community Development Board is agreeing to work with Merge Urban Development Group of Madison for six months to fine-tune the plans. The project includes event space, and five buildings with apartments, offices, and a boutique hotel.
Village Development Director Aaron Schutte says they’re targeting seniors and millennials that might not want to do yard work and shoveling. He thinks they don’t really have that niche right now.
The village asked developers around the country to propose plans for sites on both sides of McCarthy Way, just east of Holmgren Way.
