Several months after the Shopko Express closed on Appleton’s northeast side, the building’s owners are asking the city to expand the possibilities for the building.
Deputy Community Development Director Monica Stage says Rollie Winter and Associates wants to explore putting a restaurant there. Since the property is in the Northeast Business Park, the company needs permission. She says they’re trying to be proactive, so they can explore the various options.
Stage says the owners are open to leasing the entire building to one tenant, dividing it into more than one business, or even tearing the building down and starting over.
