A spokesman for the Green Bay police department says an officer and a woman are lucky after they were hit by a truck on the Leo Frigo Bridge yesterday afternoon.
Lieutenant Richard Belanger says the officer was treated at a hospital and is recovering at home.
He believes the woman doesn’t have serious injuries and will recover.
The officer was responding to a crash near Irwin Avenue when the incident happened.
Roads were slippery at the time.
Highway crews plan to be out all night treating roads.
