The state is providing a $25,000 grant to the Fox Valley Veterans Council.
Chair Jim Strong believes the state has confidence they’ll pass the money along to the most deserving vets. He thinks it shows their group is using the funding to help them become self-sufficient and self-sustaining.
The grant will be used to help veterans in emergencies, and provide housing, transportation, medical care and food.
