Experts on vaping are concerned about how young kids are getting their hands on e-cigarettes.
Dr. Michael Gutzeit of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin was part of a team that saw a jump in teens with serious lung issues over the summer. He updated state lawmakers at the Capitol yesterday, saying they’re getting them from people 18 and older.
Megan Piper of the UW Center for Tobacco Research and Intervention says vaping is complicated, when it comes to adults. She says e-cigarettes could actually improve public health, if they’re used to help regular cigarette smokers quit.
