A poll by the Marquette University Law School shows positive swings for President Trump in his push for re-election.
After trailing Democratic candidates Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren last month, he’s now ahead of all three by at least three points.
Poll Director Charles Franklin says they also updated the favorites in the Democratic primary. He says Biden’s support is at 30 percent, Sanders is at 17 percent, Warren is at 15 percent, and Pete Buttigieg at 13 percent. All of the other candidates were at 3 percent or lower.
On impeachment, 40 percent support removing Trump from office. That’s down from 44 percent last month. Fifty-three percent oppose it, and that’s up from 51 percent. Franklin says the changes on impeachment between the two polls are within the margin of error.
