A court ruling is clearing the way for the demolition of a historic Fond du Lac convent.
Efforts by the owner of the former Convent of the Holy Nativity to delay the wrecking ball were rejected by a judge this week. The convent was being renovated into a housing development when a fire seriously damaged much of the building in 2015.
The owner hasn’t done any work since then, and the city condemned the property in August of last year.
