St. Norbert College President Brian Bruess is agreeing to a multi-year contract with the school.
Bruess and the Board of Trustees agreed to the deal.
About three weeks ago Bruess said he would not renew his contract next year and would leave when it expires in June.
Two-and-a-half years into the position.
That set off protests by students and two Board of Trustee members resigned over the announcement.
Bruess never talked about his decision but some students and staff believe he was being forced out.
Today’s announcement comes a day after trustees met in a closed door session.
