A 21-year-old driver in Chander, Arizona was pulling out of a gas station when he lost control of his Ford Mustang. He crashed into one of the gas pumps, setting it ablaze.
Bystanders wisely got away from the massive fire, while the drunk driver tried to put it out with a jug of water.
When that didn’t work, he took off.
Police tracked down the suspect, whose blood-alcohol level was over three times the legal limit at .241. And to top it all off, he was on his way to court for a previous DUI arrest.
He now faces several additional charges including impaired driving, aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident, and endangerment.
