911 is for emergencies only. Again, 911 is for emergencies only.
While being late for your train may feel like an emergency, it is most definitely not.
A lesson that had to be taught to this woman by police in Ontario, Canada.
Being late for a trip is never ideal.

Calling 9-1-1 to ask the police to act as an "emergency" ride service, to get you there on time?
Yeah...not gonna happen.
Yes. This was a real call.#NotFor911#911Awareness pic.twitter.com/lBFItsGZ0r
The woman was apparently in a taxi on her way to the train station, but didn’t think she would make it on time for her trip.
“I’m supposed to have a trip to Union Station, it’s arrived at, it’s supposed to show up for me this morning, did not,” she says. “And I don’t know how you guys work with services in terms of that, because I’m in a taxi right now but it’s not going to get me to the station on time for my train to board at 9:45.”
“Do you guys offer emergency ride services or not?” the caller inquires, apparently expecting a police escort.
The 911 operator replies sternly, “Well, I can assure you we don’t do that.”
