Just a few hours after the start of the Appleton fire department’s Keep the Wreath Green campaign, the first red bulb is lit.
Crews were called to a home on Green Bay Court near downtown just after 11 p.m.
They say the fire started in a dishwasher and damage was limited to the dishwasher and a small potion of the counter.
Officials say the appliance is part of a manufacturers recall.
