Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz wants the media to withhold the name of the Oshkosh West Student accused of stabbing a police resource officer. In a press release, Matz cites concern over providing coverage to the 16-year old–and perhaps inspiring others. Matz will only say that the boy is in custody at the Winnebago County Jail and that charges of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide have been recommended against him.
