Bail is set at $75,000 cash for a Green Bay man accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend at knifepoint over the weekend.
Green Bay Police Commander Paul Ebel says Celio Jaimes-Gomez tried to stab his ex-girlfriend’s current boyfriend in the face near the American Foods parking lot, on the east side Sunday afternoon, before hijacking her car with the ex-girlfriend inside.
Ebel says they found the two at a west side apartment.
He says officers wrestled the knife away from Jaimes.
He thinks this could have become an officer involved shooting.
According to court records the victim tried to get a restraining order against Jaimes just days before the incident but couldn’t afford it.
