Workers from a Plexus manufacturing plant in Neenah got to see how their handiwork is part of Air Force planes.
About 140 of them went to Appleton International Airport to tour two Hercules C-130 military transport planes.
Plexus President and CEO Todd Kelsey says they manufacture the electronics for the cockpit, and other parts of the plane.
He says it’s the first time employees have been able to do something like that, and it’s great for them to see how their work helps keep the pilots safe.
Kelsey says the Air Force pilots also toured a Plexus plant.
He says aerospace and defense is the company’s fastest growing area, and it now accounts for more than 20 percent of their business.
