The City of Appleton could pitch in for a renovation project in the downtown.
Bela Development plans to remodel a building in the 500 block of W. College Avenue to create spaces for events and offices.
Deputy Community Development Director Monica Stage says the building’s new value could be $1.7 million dollars. The city could provide about $300,000 in TIF money.
Riverview Gardens has owned the three-story building. The nonprofit will continue to use space there for its downtown maintenance and cleanup program.
Appleton’s city council will talk about the proposal on Wednesday.
