A 16-year-old Birnamwood boy was killed while trying to drag a deer off a road in Shawano County.
Sheriff’s deputies say he hit a deer on Highway N, just east of Highway 45, late yesterday afternoon. They say he was hit by an oncoming car, driven by a 45-year-old Bowler man. They say the man was giving the boy CPR, before ambulance crews got there.
The man told deputies the boy had his bright headlights on, and he couldn’t see the teen in the road.
