Former school teacher and state education secretary Tony Evers is giving himself a grade of “incomplete” after his first year as governor.
His time in office has been filled with partisan disagreements with Majority Republicans in the Legislature, and some victories for Evers and Democrats. He’s made little progress on many substantive issues.
Evers says a highlight was signing a state budget that met campaign promises of increasing funding for schools, roads, and health care.
