Little Chute hopes to get its first large senior living facility.
The village board is agreeing to sell an empty, five-acre site along Highway 96 for $1.
Administrator James Fenlon says there would be about 90 units, with a mix between independent living, assisted living, and dementia care. The site is just west of Circle Acres Trailer Park.
Fenlon believes the project will be good for the community, because it will let older people stay in the village. Construction is expected to cost about $10 million.
Fenlon expects the board will review the site plans next month. He thinks the facility would open by 2021.
