The state Elections Commission plans to wait until a court battle is over before deciding what to do with more than 230,000 voters on the state’s voting list.
The people didn’t respond in time to a letter, asking them to verify their address. The commission deadlocked, 3-3, on what step to take.
A judge ruled that the names need to be removed, and the state is appealing. Right now, an appeals court is scheduled to hear the case, and it could ultimately go to the state Supreme Court.
