A local Habitat for Humanity chapter helped finish about 100 home revitalization projects in Menasha last fall.
It was the biggest Rock the Block initiative in the country last year.
Ryan Roth of the Greater Fox Cities Area chapter says the painted 19 houses and fixed nine porches. He says they’re actually working on two rehab projects right now, to get homes ready for families to move in.
The area is north of the Fox River between 9th and Tayco streets. Roth says more than 700 volunteers pitched in.
Habitat is planning smaller Rock the Block events in Waupaca this spring, and Appleton and Neenah in the fall.
