Some people spent part of their day Sunday checking out the ice shoves on the shores of Lake Winnebago.
The large pieces of ice pile up because of changing temperatures and wind.
Kristy Veldman of Kaukauna went to Calumet County Park to see some of them. She says she saw people posting pictures on Facebook, and she says it’s amazing to finally check them out in person.
Veldman says the ice shoves almost made her feel like she was in Alaska, or someplace like that.
